No. Reset Valeting is fully mobile and self-sufficient. We carry our own professional water supply and power.
Access to an outdoor tap or socket can be helpful but is not essential.

Services & Results
How long does a valet take?
Time varies depending on the service and vehicle condition.
Typical timeframes:
Exterior or Interior Valet: Approximately 2–3 hours
Full Deep Clean: Approximately 5–6 hours
Heavily soiled vehicles or add-on services may require additional time.
Can you remove strong odours or stains?
Yes. Reset Valeting specialises in deep interior cleaning and professional odour removal.
We treat:
Smoke odours
Pet smells
Food and milk spills
Damp or musty interiors
Where required, we use advanced odour neutralisation treatments designed to eliminate smells at source, not simply mask them.
Will machine polishing remove all scratches?
With the enhancement polish I aim for 60-70% improvement in the condition of the paintwork. This will remove light scratches and swirl marks from improper washing techniques. This will restore clarity and gloss to the paintwork.
How long does machine polishing take?
This can vary depending on the condition of the paintwork. A full exterior wash and decontamination plus an enhancement polish can take around 8-10 hours (Includes a ceramic coating application). This is again dependent on the condition of the paintwork.
What’s the difference between a paint enhancement and paint correction?
A paint enhancement is designed to improve the overall gloss and clarity of your paint without fully removing every defect. I use light machine polishing to reduce hazing, minor swirls and dullness, making the car look noticeably brighter and cleaner. It’s ideal for newer vehicles or cars where the paint is already in good condition.
Paint correction goes a step further. It involves a more intensive multi-stage polishing process aimed at actually removing deeper swirl marks, scratches and oxidation from the clear coat. This takes more time and skill, but it restores the finish much closer to “like new.”
What is a ceramic coating?
Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer applied to your vehicle’s paintwork that chemically bonds to the surface. It creates a durable, protective layer that enhances gloss and protects against dirt, road salt, UV damage, and contaminants.
What’s the difference between valeting and detailing?
Valeting focuses on thorough cleaning and restoration of your vehicle’s interior and exterior. This includes deep cleaning, sanitising, stain removal and odour removal to return your vehicle to a fresh, reset condition.
Detailing goes further into cosmetic enhancement and surface correction. This may include machine polishing, paint correction and long-term protective coatings such as ceramic protection.
Reset Valeting currently specialises in professional valeting and deep cleaning services.
Detailing services are coming soon.
Is a ceramic coating worth it in the UK?
Yes. Ceramic coating is especially beneficial in the UK due to frequent rain, winter road salt, and changing weather conditions. Ceramic coating helps protect your vehicle year-round and makes it easier to clean, particularly during winter on the East Coast
How long does a ceramic coating last?
A professionally applied ceramic coating can last anywhere from 1 to 10 years, depending on the product used and how the vehicle is maintained. Rest Valeting uses high-quality ceramic coatings designed to perform in UK weather conditions. I I typically use 1 and 2 year coatings to get the balance between price and performance.
How do I maintain my vehicle after a ceramic coating?
Maintaining a ceramic coated vehicle is simple. Regular safe washing with pH-neutral products is recommended. Because dirt doesn’t bond easily to the surface, cleaning is quicker and safer compared to unprotected paintwork. A chemical paint decontamination is recommended every 4-6 months.
